Hey all! Lately I have been terribly busy with work, trying to find an apartment, finding an apartment at the last minute and now packing. So much to do but not enough time. However, I have had some time to post a new look. This black fringe top is from Zara early 2015 collection. I was so lucky to get my hands on this piece since usually something like this would be gone in a day or two, and it is so difficult to find extra small.

Since I did buy it during a much colder season I only just started to wear it. I know what you might be thinking. “Black in the summer!” Yeessss. I know its a trend and everyone seems to be doing it, but as of lately I have actually  decided to hop on the band wagon, and have been collecting ALOT of black. Oddly enough, I think my up-and-coming fall/winter clothes are more colorful than my summer ones. But this top paired with some jeans and even a pair of converse is still pretty perfect for a nice hot day.

Sorry I have been away for forever, but school became a priority after York University finally ended the strike. As soon as I got back everything was due at the same time and I became immediately stressed. Thankfully I made it out safely and passed all my classes with flying colors. Now I can concentrate more on my blog and my YouTube channel this summer, and I am super excited because there is a lot of great things happening in the next few months.

First, I will leave a link for you guys soon because I will soon be starting a new YouTube channel, and I will be blogging all this month of June. I am not sure what the name will be, but I will let you guys know very soon. (So far I can only think of Vlune, which essiebutton came up with. Her Vlogs are amazing.)

In the meantime, I am going to talk about my favorite black shoes for the summer time. #blackshoesforsummer. Recently, I have become quite obsessed with black. I used to be known to wear a lot of color, and vowed to stay away from black because I had to wear black pants as a uniform in high school for five years. Yuck! But lately, I have no idea what has gotten into me, but I just love black. So much so, I even have a new pair of black aritzia black boyfriend trousers that I wear almost everyday. I know I am very late for this trend, and I know that it is soooo obvious, but black really does go with everything. And when I gave it a second chance I discovered that black actually does not look terrible on me. Such was told to me when I was in college.

My obsession with black has also led me to discover that I have been collecting a crazy amount of black shoes that I almost forgot that I owned. (The picture above only shows a fraction of black shoes that I actually own.) Last year, right at the beginning of the Fall season, I purchased a pair of black wedges from Steve Madden. They were on sale and I could not pass them up. They are an espadrille wedge and the top is made of swede. There is also a silver zipper going down the middle of the front of the shoe, which makes for a more sexy look. My next favorite black shoes are my black swede platforms from Michael Kors, and I swear my mom made me get them. Because they are a platform they are really comfortable, and I love that I can wear a long maxi dress with them. Perfect for a night out or even when I want to be casual. My Rampage open toe booties I received as a birthday gift from my boyfriend. (We were at winners and I forced him to buy them for me 😉 ). The ankle was a bit too big for me so I put another whole in them to tighten them, and now they fit perfectly. Next are my flats and they are both from Aldo. I usually try to steer clear of Aldo shoes, but i thought the look of both of them were really sleek and trendy. The sandal is all leather and bends well when I walk, and the sleek pointy flat is swede. Surprisingly, they are both so comfortable, and recently they are the ones I get the most wear out.

These are honestly the few of my favorites. I have A LOT more. But if I wrote about all of them I would be writing a novel by this point. Hey Everyone!

Sorry it has been a while since I posted. Needed some time to catch up with a lot of home work. Last week it was so snowy and I took some photos in the snow. Because it was snowing, it was not too cold outside so I was able to wear my wool camel coat from Forever 21 – the one that I am obsessed with and I got for a really good deal. I was also able to wear my new Hunter Boots that I received for Christmas. It was not too cold outside so my toes did not freeze. I have not gotten the Hunter socks yet, so I just wore some of my own thick wool socks that worked perfectly. Underneath I wore i sweater that I got from H&M last summer and a pair of tights. I recently purchased the famous Blanket scarf  from Aritzia and I am in love with it because it keeps me super warm. It is also perfect for school because for some reason it is cold in every single one of my classes :/. Here is a link for the different types of ways to wear it. Countdown to St. Valentine’s – Day 1

One more day till Valentine’s Day, and today I am featuring a few items for men that I think they will appreciate. Of course a red slim fit polo from Lacoste called Tokyo. This polo just came out for the spring/summer season and this red will look good on any guy. (there are also so many other colors to choose from, just clock here). Next are my favorite colognes for men and that is again from Lacoste. They are the L1212 white and red cologne. Perfect for the summer time, especially the white. And again loads of other scents, and colors to choose from. Pair the Polo with some jeans from Levis, these are the 508 fits, and you have the perfect outfit for men.

Countdown to St. Valentine’s – Day 2

Welcome back to the countdown. It would not be Valentine’s Day without lingerie and today I will be featuring some pieces from H&M. There is nothing wrong with having a few sexy pieces and there’s no better time anyway. I got these pieces from H&M about 2 years ago so they do not have these specific ones anymore. However I’m sure they, and others like Victoria’s secret and Pink, would have something similar. The swede pumps are from last summer’s Michael Kors collection and are the most comfortable high heel shoes ever. Because they are a platform the shoe is much easier to walk in and they look so nice on.

Now I realized that I did not have a lot of red in this post and today I have mostly featured black items, so I added some of my favorite red candies (gummy bears of course) and the same Rimmel Lipstick by Kate Moss. I also added my favorite perfume by Calvin Klein Euphoria that has become my go-to scent and MAC’s Lip Conditioner to keep those lips nice and smooth.

Countdown to St. Valentine’s – Day 3

Welcome back! Today I thought I would do something a little different and showcase some of my favorite books and favorite chocolate. What is Valentine’s Day without chocolate. (Actually what is any day without chocolate). My favorite chocolates, and I hope a lot of you will agree with me is Ferrero Rocher and peanut covered chocolate M&M’s. I LOOOOOOVE M&M’s. When I am in the mood to snack and cannot figure out what to munch on I just buy a pack of M&M’s and some Ferrero Rocher it automatically makes me happy.

And in the light of 50 Shades of Grey, I also thought I would share with you some of my favorite books. My favorite books do not include 50 shades, since I have not read it, however I figured with the movie coming out soon I could share books that are not romantic, but that have an aspect of love and that I have read and enjoyed. The first book is Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella. I love this book. When I started reading the Shopaholic series, I could not put them down. They are so funny and this book in particular is about a girl who loses her memory, and follows her journey to finding out who she really is. If you are into light reading and you want to have some laughs this book is perfect.

My next favorite is called Esther written by Sharon E. McKay and is a wonderful adventure that is said to also be a true story. It is about a young Jewish girl born in France who disguises herself as a boy and makes her way to the New World (New France) in 1735. After reading the fourth installment of Harry Potter, I got bored and needed something else to read while I waited for the 5th book to come out. When I went to Chapters I asked one of the sales girls if she can help me find an adventurous book. She gave me this one and it became my favorite. The story is full of adventure, love and hope, and the love story will probably make you cry. It was amazing.

My last but not least favorite is #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso. If you are wanting to start your own business or/and just looking to make your life better for yourself, this is the right book for you. Sophia is a really inspiring person and her book will make you want to get off your butt and do something with your life. In the book she explains how she started Nastygal and how you can start your own business as well. It is a really inspiring book and I added it to the list because it is also important to remember to love yourself too.

Countdown to St. Valentine’s Day – Day 4

Welcome back to the Valentine’s Day countdown. Yesterday’s post featured makeup and my favorite Lipstick by Kate Moss for Rimmel. Today I am featuring a red dress (more like a nice red wine color) that I will be wearing on Valentine’s Day, and it is one that I actually wore to a wedding just this past summer. I actually found this dress at Winners. the Brand is called Snap. I can’t find the dress online, however, if you cannot find this dress you will definitely be able to find many other dresses there as well. I usually do not shop for dresses at Winners, especially since it was for a special occasion, but this dress caught my eye. It has a nice open back and slits on the side and the color looked really nice on me. Sounds a bit conceded, but it did.

Countdown to St. Valentine’s Day – Day 5

So to celebrate the day of love, I have decided to start a post counting down from day 5 all the way to Valentine’s Day. The countdown will of course include most things RED, and everyday leading up to the special day, I will post something with a Valentine’s Day theme in mind.

Today I am going to begin the Valentine’s Day Countdown with my favorite RED lipstick from Kate Moss’ collection for Rimmel London called Lasting Finish number 01. Because I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, I kept the rest of my face very natural. Over my foundation and  concealer, I added a blush from Topshop called Dream Phone. I also added Urban Decay’s Naked palette called Sin and my favorite mascara from Benefit, Be Real.
